US Senators Introduce Bill To Make WOTC Permanent

Yesterday, Senators Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), and Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) introduced bipartisan legislation to make the WOTC program permanent.  Currently, the program is set to expire at the end of this year.

This bill, the Work Opportunity Tax Credit & Jobs Act,  is a great start for our renewal efforts that we have been working on over the past several years.  We are hopeful that a companion bipartisan bill will also be introduced in the House in the near future.

More information and quotes from the various Senators can be viewed on the press release link below from Senator Cardin’s office.
